Our Story

Our passion for Boxers began in 1990 when we purchased our first pet, Sam. Unfortunately Sam was stolen. We waited for a couple of years and then we got Sadie. Sadie was a beautiful fawn girl that we loved for almost 9 years. We were devastated when she died but after about 6 months we had to have another boxer. At that time we were still only interested in having a nice pet boxer. From an add in the newspaper we met a lady named Anna. Anna had some puppies for sale from an accidental breeding. They were cute but not really what we were looking for. She showed us some pictures of a dog she had at that time. He had just come home from a dog show. "Doc" He was gorgeous. Anna went on to tell us that she had just had a repeat breeding from Doc's parents. Of course, we wanted to see the puppies. It was love at first site. After seeing Doc and knowing this was his brother from a repeat breeding, we had to have him. His name is "Samson" CH Andelz Stars 'n Stripes. Anna said we could buy him if we would at least try to show him. Juan had always wanted to have a boxer that was nice enough to show. In fact, he had gone to a dog show in Dallas and came home raving about this boxer, Max and handler that was awesome. (That handler just happened to be Michael Shepherd who coincidentally is now our handler.) We agreed that we would go to some shows and handling classes and just see what it was all about. It didn't take long until we were hooked. Through the dog shows and the Dallas Boxer Club, we met John and Lavon Wilkinson who have become two of our best friends in the world.

Of course, we couldn't stop with just one boxer. Shortly after Samson became a Champion we decided we wanted our foundation bitch. We had been in the Dallas Boxer Club for a couple of years at this point. We had learned so much more about the breed. We knew we wanted to start with a solid foundation. Our handler, Michael Shepherd told us that Perry and Sandi Combest of Rochil's Boxers and Kim Bloomquist of Kandiyohi Boxers had a litter and that we should look into getting a puppy. We have been so blessed and fortunate to have the friends and contacts that we have. Perry and Sandi entrusted us to have "Tina" CH Rochil's Private Dancer Kandiyohi. Tina is an exceptionally beautiful fawn bitch.

Just short of Tina finishing her championship, we got the urge for another puppy. Michael told us about a litter in Elk River, MN. that Linda and Skip Abel of Storybook Boxers had. Another solid line and Rochil's Black Magic Woman is the dam. We thought, how perfect is that. After talking with Linda and Skip and getting to know us a little by phone, they agreed to let us purchase their handsome boy "Wyatt" CH Storybook Key to the Castle. Wyatt finished his Championship very quickly with 2 Best in Breeds and a group placement following his championship.

Molly, daughter of Tina born October 26, 2008 is our latest Champion finishing her championship in only 5 shows.

We now have 4 Champions living in our home, Samson, Tina,Wyatt and Molly. I know the best is yet to come.
